Dr. Nengye Liu is a Marie Curie Fellow at School of Law, University of Dundee, United Kingdom. His current research focuses on the European Union and the protection of marine biodiversity in the Arctic. Prior to moving to Dundee, he was a “Future Ocean” Research Associate at the Walther-Schücking-Institute for International Law, University of Kiel, Germany. Dr. Nengye Liu obtained a Doctor of Law from the Department of Public International Law, Ghent University, Belgium. His doctoral thesis is entitled “Prevention of Vessel-Source Pollution, a Comparative Study between European and Chinese Law”. He also has a Bachelor of Law and a Master of International Economic Law from Law School, Wuhan University, China. Dr. Nengye Liu has given lectures, presentations as well as participated in academic events in 20 countries across 5 continents. He serves as Associate Editor of the Yearbook of International Environmental Law (Oxford University Press).
